  1. No, it doesn't "matter".

The "Mikasa" pad you picked looked good, and Mikasa IS a good brand.

I would rather take my player to the store and let him/her make the decision. A 16-er could be really picky so that you don't want to waste your effort. In local store a pair of Nike Dri-Fit would cost about $17 + Tax, and a pair of Mizuno VS-1 would cost around $20-25 + tax.

By the way, Mizuno seems to be more popular these days... and VS-1 is better than T-1 based on my personal experience.

  2. no just make sure they r good an cushiony

  3. Mikasa is really cheap. Go with Nike or Asics. You will enjoy it in the end. Asics sliders are the best because they're low profile but squishier than heck.

  4. In high school some teams order their knee pad depending on the brand of they're uniforms. But you should use "skinny knee pads" by Truefit, asics or under armor.

  5. It doesn't matter what types of knee pads you have in almost any league unless you have a sponsor that says you have to wear that  brand. You cannot wear your knee pads with blood on the outside of them or else you can't play. I would recommend the knee pads with more padding because they protect you more. Yes, more people wear the skinnier (lee padding) knee pads, but they also get their knees all bruised up and sore. You can buy knee pads pretty much any wear, but I would recommend a sports store because they have a wider variety in style and sizes. I would also recommend to get white knee pads because the look better and you can when they are to dirty and you wash them. If you get black ones you won't be able to see the dirt and then you knee pads won't slide on the floor anymore.

  6. try not to buy things online, get one at sports authority or something. usually it says, "adult size" or "child size" it doesn't matter how old your teenager is.. it depends on the size of her body. but usually any size will fit, all of those kneepads are stretchy enough.. atleast i think so.

and yes the size matter, kneepads are a huge contributer to helping keep the safety and the joints/agility of your child's knees. if it's too loose, it'll slip and annoy her/him. and it's too tight, then that's even more annoying/irritating.

don't buy one online, get one at a store to read more information. [plus you can always just be sneaky, open it, then have your child try it on!!]

    haha[x

  7. No, no regs on pads. And it depends on leg girth. Come in sm md lg usually.

  8. I would say that it really doesn't matter what kind of kneepads that you wear but some words of wisdom I can give is try to avoid the "bubble" style kneepads.  These are the ones with way too much padding on them.  They can get in the way on simple movements as well as make it too comfortable to go down on a knee, which isn't the best habit to form.  I would recommend the Mizuno VS-1 if you are willing to spend the money.  They are very comfortable and have padding on the sides to avoid annoying burns on the sides of the knees.
