  1. Yea. i think that the one from new york will get more publicity and more attention from people since new york is a very great place and historic place of boxing.

But just because people pay more attention to the New Yorker DOES NOT mean that the New Yorker is going to win. He does have a better chance of getting endorsements and maybe he will be encouraged and praised more and he will gain confidence that way?...

Keep in mind of all the great Fighters who came from little cities such as Roy Jones Jr. and many other

hope i helped, I tried my best, if you have any more questions feel free to IM me on Yahoo messenger or send me an email

  2. of course it matters, the local will have the crowd and fill the seats, now in order to win if is an american fighting a mexican or other foreigner, if the foreigner dont win convincingly gets robbed..have seen many mexicans lost fights vs american boxers who didnt deserve to win. example mayweather vs jose luis castillo first time

  3. No. The fighter that is more entertaining to watch will be the crowd favorite.

  4. yeah, it depends where they from, you might get an idea of how good is, there are cities that allow their boxers to beat on bums and build up records, if a boxer is for example mexico or philly with an undefeated record than u know he could be really good

  5. Depends on the man's past, how interesting, the road he took to get where he is.  And if one is white, he gets the press.  The only way you top that is if you are a descendant from Clay, Liston, Marciano, Dempsey, Louis, etc.

I've known fighters who hail from Philly that feel they have a tradition behind them and there is always the Rocky story you can attach to that.  So many things can enter into this question, but a good question it is.  You get a star!

    Mean Mike

  6. In a way it does; what breeds good boxers, is a country plagued with crime and violence.  Every time a country is plagued with violence and crime, it almost always produces good boxers, or otherwise people good at combat sports.  So absolutely it matters where they are from; the more crime and violence the country they come from, the larger the talent pool of experienced people who will take their street instincts into the ring polished by boxing training.
