Does it matter where you volunteer?

When I go to college, I'm considering going into the medical field. I'm not sure where I want to volunteer, either at a library, or at a hospital. Do colleges care where you volunteer? Or is a place preferred than the other?

Oh and I'm already doing an internship at a hospital....

it doesnt matter where you volunteer just make sure you like what you are volunteering for.

I would volunteer at a hospital. It goes with the medical theme.

I don't think it matters where you volunteer.  It shows that you have diverse interests and that you're willing to give time to a cause.
