  1. Not being an optometrist as far as i know they only matter as much as the prescription differs. For example if one eye is farsighted and the other is nearsighted and you put in the wrong ones you will be doing permanent damage to your eyes. Quick solution - try them one after the other in both eyes and find the one which is clearer for each eye. Wish i could help more but i only have one contact.

  2. It matters

your prescription is very likely to  differ between left and right eyes,

so you could actually cause eye strain and headaches, if the focus is off

  3. It mostly depends on whether you have the same prescription in both eyes. Very few people have the same strength lens in both eyes, most are different. Mine are VERY different (-9 and -6.75) so if i put them in the wrong eyes, they immediately feel wrong. Get a case with R and L on it so that you can always be sure, and set up a routine for when you take them out and put them in that you always start with either the right or left lens.

  4. Of course it matters. Especially if your degree on each eye is different. And also if the asmagtism(if you have) varies for each eye. It's terrible if you mix them up, unless you have exactly the same degree on both sides of the eyes.

  5. Yes it does matter unless you have the same prescription for each eye.  If your prescription is different for each eye and you get them switched, you probably won't be able to see correctly.

  6. If they have no power in them, or are both the same power, then no, it doesn't matter which eye you put them in.
