Does it mean anything if you heard a song in your dream?

Well, I had this dream I was sitting on a hammock by the beach. There was this old fashioned radio on the sand next to me. It kept playing the same song over an over again. I have never heard that song before, only in the dream. I found out it was the song "Clocks" by Coldplay.

Does this mean anything?

  1. no just that u have a song stuck in your head!

  2. Really, only you can know if it means something.

Start by asking yourself what the song means to you or how you can relate to the song. Look up the lyrics.

  3. maybe you heard it once on the radio and remembered it in yoour dream, but forgot it when you woke up

  4. you probably fell asleep with the radio on, or it was somehow playing while you were sleeping

i dont know the circumstance of when and where you were sleeping, it could have been anything

-neighbor playing it at a party

-friend playing it on a cellphone

    -radio left

-someone downloaded it on the computer

i fall asleep with my computer on every night, playing a playlist

and, very often, the current songs that are playing are sometimes incorporated into my dreams

  5. maybe u had a ghostly exp

  6. When you listen to a song, do you take notice of its words? And if you do take notice, do the words mean anything? If so then the words in your dream mean also something. In fact they mean the same thing as when you are awake.

What you will have to do is to look carefully at the words of the song. Since you have never heard it before you dreamt it, you must come to the conclusion that the dream is about what is going on in your life or will come into your life shortly.

So I suggest your life will be in step with the song you have heard in your dream which is "Clocks"' by Coldplay. So what are the key words of this song?

“Lights go out and I can’t be saved

Tides that I tried to swim against

Brought me down upon my knees

Oh I beg, I beg and plead

Confusion never stops; Curse missed opportunities; Home, home, where I wanted to go.”

In a nutshell: what you tried to achieve did not work out and now you are crying to go home. In other words you need to be comforted. The dream is telling you that.

Was it a relationship? It usually is. Most pop songs are about unhappy relationships, about failing relationships, about heartaches due to a separation; about unrequited love, about failed aspirations. All very much like real life!

  7. well, it could be that you just happened to remember the song in your sleep. if you have never heard of the song before. then that would be creepy

  8. No, I wouldn't look into it. It's possible that you were someplace where the song was playing quietly in the background. Your brain may have picked up on it, but you may not have really noticed. Thus, later being in your dream.

  9. Our brains are absolutely fascinating in that they are capable of capturing information and choose when that information will be repeated at any given time. It is true that we do have 'selective memory', hee hee.

It may be that you heard the song when you very, very little. It is so cool that you would hear the song again in a dream. Think of it, in your dream you are happy, content and surrounded with beautiful nature and you hear the song. Very beautiful, and meaningful.

  10. ******* good choice darling. that tune is sweeeeeet. maybe look the lyrics up there may be a hidden message in there that explains this.

  11. it just means you heard the song somewhere, maybe in the day and something reminded you of it, sometimes you find that sounds from your actual surroundings will be in the dream, like if you have a radio alarm clock and the song plays, it might be in your dream.

  12. When the song is happy ; its very good ; and by the name of the song ; its like something ; you are waiting for ; but didn't get it yet ; but its on your way

  13. Chances are you've heard it before.

In any case, I'd tell you it doesn't mean anything.   But the beauty of being human is that most anything can mean something if you want it to, the decision is really yours.
