It was almost $200 dollars online. Are Scorpion cues any good? Which company sells the best cues? I have the Scorpion jump break cue. The black one. It's ok i guess. i like it alot but it squeaks when i chalk and people make fun of it.

  1. I' old and old fashion, about ridding my cue of it squeaky.

I prefer a using a very sharp knife and carefully cutting a grid pattern into the cues tip, then with a rough sand paper ruffing the tip to my satisfaction.

Applying the chalk next and purse my lips and blow of the extra chalk, repeating this if the cue holds to little chalk or sanding if the cue holds to much chalk of course using a finer grade sand paper.

Old fashion, I know what works best for me.

  2. Dress your tip

Scorpion cues are ok but I dont use one so i cant give a real answer

  3. Try using a different cube of chalk after you shape and scuff your tip. I think you'll find the squeaking stops.

As to whether or not a Scorpion is a good cue, that is a personal preference. You'll receive as many different answers from as many players about that question.

  4. it makes speaky noises? you mean it talks to you? lol

you have to use a scratcher on the tip. they are only a few bucks at almost any place that sells sticks.

  5. Get yourself a scuffer to use on the tip. It will prevent the squeeking caused when your tip becomes too smoothe. You can get a "tip poker" it's a tool that has small spikes that you press into the tip so it holds chalk better.  Hope this helps.
