  1. Yeah...but I know a guy that can get you in for $5999

Ok. I am going to assume that you are young and serious. You are also at the receiving end of some very bad information.

The conversion process can take between one and two years of study. The actual ceremony or Beth Din is held in front of a panel of rabbis. While the exact process differs between denominations, and may even differ between congregations within the same denomination, there is never any charge for this, nor would a payment  be accepted if offered.

  2. I'm qualified to do the ceremony, as I have Rabbinical training. I'll make an honest-to-God Jew out of you for a 50% discount. Five grand, and you'll be a Kosher boy!  A bargain.

Actually, it costs nothing to become a Jew except time and a drop of blood from your Johnson as medical circumcisions don't technically count. Gotta get that one drop. If a woman, then so much the better. You are lucky!

I've seen conversion ceremonies which are taken from the Book of Ruth.

The celebrant basically says as Ruth, but in Hebrew "Your people shall be my people. Your God, shall be my God." and that's about it.

    Simple stuff.

Most conversions that I've witnessed have been Christians wanting to marry some hot Jewish chick and her father, like that Greek Orthodox father in My Big Fat Greek Wedding, said "No conversion, no marriage, you die!"

But the cost is free, or should be. I wonder where you got this information. 10 grand? Oy Gevalt!  What's the World coming to? You gotta pay to be a Jew? Most Jews in n**i Germany would have paid 10 K not to have been one.

Remember, the ceremony [and potential cost] may vary depending on if you use Orthodox, Conservative or a Reform Rabbi to do it.

Rabbis like tips though, so does a Mohel, or the dude that performs the Bris or circumcision ceremony, so a nice tip might keep your little boy from being turned into a little girl.

After a wedding, no problemo, "You did a good job, Rabbi, here's a C-note for your trouble."

And he says "No problem, wait til' you get my bill, you shtik goy!"

  3. you know christians dont have to pay a thing....

  4. ....   you believe waht you ****** want to.    That costs nothing.

  5. Would you refer to the bar mitzvah party?

The party could cost as much as a wedding dinner, or as inexpensive as a pizza party.

  6. But look at how much money you'll be saving by not buying Christmas trees.

  7. Hey for you a special deal my friend.  I know a guy in the business.   He'll turn you into a Jew for $7500. I should lie about this?  Oy.

  8. No but it does cost part of your manhood.  Yahweh does like him some genital mutilation.

  9. for a convert, maybe more then money.

Even if your kids will cal themselves jewish, in this day and age you will not be accepted in the country you reside in with that., maybe in israel as 2nd class fighting in Hebron fo land so some religious fanatical converts can have it with the support of US tax payers money.

  10. It costs nothing of this world except the time needed to be invested in learning... but... if the Jews assisting are doing their job, they will not make it easy... they will actually try to dissuade a seeker... one must be truly, honestly, fully committed... and be able to demonstrate all of that... before being allowed to make the final commitment.

    But money is not needed.

As one of The Church(The True Christian Faith) I would say that it all would be for nothing, in the eternal sense, as God has prescribed The Way for ALL to come to Him... and The Way is no longer The Law of Moses... For the past 2,000 yrs or so, Only those of The Church enter Heaven.

  11. no...

  12. It's a small price to pay to prove your obedience.

  13. I believe they actually pay you 10k to get you started.
