Does it really matter if I change the saline solution for my contacts every night?

If I keep the saline solution in the little case for 2 nights does it really matter that much? I'm so lazy haha

  1. The biggest problem will be the bacteria.  Your eyes are made to kill the bacteria, but your contact solution isn't as good at it.  To answer your question, it probably won't blind you if you do it once or twice, but I wouldn't make a habit of it.

Well...consider this.  After wearing contacts for the day, your eyes collect all kinds of foreign particles including bacteria.  Your tears are meant to wash those things out of your eyes but if your contacts happen to have some bacteria left on them, it will transfer to your solution in the case.  You also have bacteria on your hands.  Many bacteria start to reproduce after only a few hours.  After 2 days, you will have many bacteria.  I recommend that you dump out the old solution every morning, rinse the case and leave to air dry.

  3. Do you save your bathwater to use 2 days in a row ?

    Boy, if you are too lazy to change the solution ,for the few seconds it takes, maybe you should stick to glasses, cuz you are going to have real problems with contacts

    before long.
