  1. Does it matter? Well if you have to ask on an open community board such as this there maybe something a little deeper here.  If you are genuinely asking the question then it sounds like something may be telling you not to. My advice is to not run your life by a committee of strangers.

Other than that, if you are under age then yes...there is a problem.  If you are doing it to hurt yourself in some way, then yes there is a problem (look up alcohol poisoning),  if you are planning on driving then yes there is a problem.  There just isn't enough information here.  It depends on too many factors...the percentage of alcohol content, you height and weight, the size of the bottle of wine.

Just out of curiosity why are you specifically planning on "drinking an entire bottle of wine in less than an hour" ?

  2. If you're asking for opinions I'm sure you're going to get them.  And the fact that you're asking says that either you aren't sure about your choice, or that you're already soused and feeling bad, or that you're on your way to getting soused and have decided "to h**l with it!"  Either way, drinking a whole bottle of wine in less than half an hour by yourself says that maybe you're angry, depressed, addicted or just plain dumb.  Alcohol isn't an answer to anybody's problems, for very long anyway.  So, once you get over your binge, talk to a trusted person about what's really going on.

  3. Heck no. Enjoy yourself.

  4. If it's your wine no probs ! If it's someone else's maybe a prob !!  :)

  5. It's YOUR wine, YOUR stomach, and more importantly, YOUR LIVER that will suffer, so should I be bovvered? NO ! ! !

  6. As long as you are responsible when you are not drinking you are good.

    So do it.!

  7. you have one of two problems, the first one i dont have to tell you, you would know it yourself because you asked the question. the other possibility is that there is an underlying problem that you dont want to face, either way you need to talk to someone now. dont open another bottle

  8. 1. it probably means you have a problem

    2.  it  could kill you

    3. if not, you will probably regret it.

  9. Doubt your kidneys could cope with that love.

  10. Yes. It means you're terribly lonely or you refuse to share.

  11. Your liver can metabolise alcohol at the rate of about 1 unit per hour.  A bottle of wine contains about 8 to 9 units of alcohol.  Drinking that many units in an hours puts your body under serious stress.  Doing this on a regular basis can lead to conditions like liver damage, cancer etc.  Try to drink slower, alternate with glasses of fruit juice, water etc.  If you feel the need to drink that volume of alcohol on a regular basis maybe you should think about talking to your doctor.  There's no harm in drinking alcohol but do it sensibility - the recommendation for women is 2 to 3 units per day and for men 3 to 4 units a day.

  12. light weight come on you can do better

  13. h**l no! Drink it down girl!

  14. it really depends on the wine.

  15. You might as well hit yourself over the head with the bottle and save time!

Seriously though, a lot depends on the wine.  Some wines are 4% alcohol, some are 13%.  If you drink a full bottle of the strong stuff and you're not used to it, you could easily black out.  Unconcious, you could vomit and choke on it, fall asleep in a position where you can't breathe, or basically just die.  Of course that's a worst case scenario - you'll probably wake up with a slamming hangover.  You should never binge drink alone, though.

  16. If you don't mind being quite drunk and dyou are a healthy person.

  17. Not to me it doesnt... but it might matter to your family when drinking like that starts to catch up to you...

  18. That's only 5 servings of alcohol. Of course, you may want to have eaten something beforehand and drink lots of water. It's not good for you, but it won't hurt you too much (as far as short term goes).

  19. It may make you vomit

Ideally you should only have one unit an hour, plus an equal amount of water one for one! Dont do anything requiring skill!!

  20. no ur only having fun.

u onli live once live how u want to an not by how many units there are lol.

av funn with u drinkin hun its greatt.

  21. Not if you don't get alcohol poisoning or an allergic reaction ....... It's YOUR head that's going to hurt in the morning

  22. Wow, no matter. Chug it down sister

  23. Well there is no law against Internet surfing while intoxicated.

I am just glad you are sitting and not trying to stand!!!

Let us know if the room starts spinning.

  24. Doesn't matter to me...

  25. Yes, that is called alcoholism. People with self-control (sorry!) don't drink so much by themselves, though socially people tend to drink more.

  26. It does if you don't have another bottle of wine.

  27. only 1 bottle? How g*y?

  28. As it will probably be over the recommended units it will definitely cause damage to your body.

All organs will be affected. Every hangover I had was evidence of brain damage.

Scientists have also produced evidence to show that the way we live directly affects the genes we pass on to our children

  29. It might not matter the now but it certainly isnt good for your liver. I'd slow down on the drinking and theres other ways of having fun than exceeding alcohol

    *hugz*

  30. You onlylive once. just don't do it every day.

  31. Ugh. I wouldn't. It depends how much you weigh, how old you are, and a few other things. Are you feeling depressed? Alcohol can make that worse.
