Does it really matter what time you eat? ?

Ive read differing sides - some say that your body doesnt know what time it is, and as long as your exercising enough to burn it off, it doesnt matter when you eat - some say that you should eat dinner earlier (before 7 or so) to avoid weight gain - which is correct?

  1. well they say eat dinner before 7 coz generally people go to sleep at 10-11...so its 3-4 hours of gap...But if u sleep at 2 in the morining than u can have ur dinner accordingly....the bottom line is to have ur dinner atleast 3 hours before u doze off...so that u allow it to burn properly...Cheers!!


  2. It does actually matter. You don't want to go to sleep right after eating because you're lying there with a full belly of food and you're not using any of it. It's best to eat the most in the morning and eat increasingly less. Don't go to sleep hungry, but don't have a big meal late at night.  

  3. well my experience is, it doesnt matter, i'm very fit n thin...i eat lil bits all day, have dinner at 11pm sometimes n snack til 4am. on healthy stuff, but with my metabolism so fast, it doesnt matter wen i eat. in fact the more i eat the more i lose weight. no joke...n i'm 32 so i'm no kid. so, it makes no difference wen u eat! as long as you just eat wen ur hungry. never starve yourself, if your body wants food, then eat!

I think that its just a fad diet Oprah and Phil promote.The fact is its not when you eat its calories calories calories.If you eat to many over a weeks time then you will gain weight.Eat really small meals all day and a snack at night and you can lose weight because of calories.So far as laying in bed with a full stomach and not burning calories that's c**p because alot of people are having s*x and moving around in their sleep.It might work for some people but not shift workers.You have to find a way that works for you.I'm losing weight and I eat late.I eat something like soup or salad and try to eat a very light breakfast.I guess by their standards I do it backwards but breakfast does not appeal to me.I usually eat toast and coffee.

  5. It can be whenever you want to eat or eat before 7 or so, because when you really don't want to eat right now don't eat just eat later and if you want to eat right now just eat. It really doesn't matter what time you eat. It is on you if you want to eat right now or not.
