Does it really matter what type of HDMi plug I but for the xbox 360 or a dvd player for that matter.?

what is really the difference other then price. I'm using the HDMi plug that came with a $40 dvd player and the pic is great on movies and games.

the more expencive hdmi leads are gold plated for better connectivity but you will hardly notice the difference.
