Does it really matter who McCain's VP is?

If McCain doesn't name Condaleeza Rice his running mate, will anyone really vote for him because they actually want John McCain to be president??

Actually its a pretty big deal...Evangelicals are uneasy about Romney being VP.  Pawlntery or however you say it wouldn't add much to the ticket.

I will vote for him because I don't want Obama but if he nominates some one I consider too liberal I will vote a third party candidate..

No, it really doesn't matter.  I will be voting for him no matter who he chooses.  My vote for McCain is a vote against Obama.

It does matter since McCains age and health are considerations. His pick is probably more important than Obama.

McCain could get votes based on the gender or home state of the VP. He could lose votes from his base if his pick is too liberal.

it matters because he has a real serious image problem. he's an old politician and IS more of the same. so if he wants to make a serious challenge to obama he's going to have to do something "maverickal".

some youth to the ticket could help, it will be interesting to see who he picks though but i personally dont want to see him elected.

Yes there are many who want to vote for John McCain...don't let the DNC circus cloud your vision.  Just because all you see in Obama on every network and espn does not mean everyone wants him for president...there is a group of people that will be voting for him
