For people who applied for a Capital One credit card, got approved, and it said 7-10 days until you get the card/info in the mail...did it take all 7-10 days?

  1. If they sent you the promotion to get a card, you would get approved in less than 7 days (after they received the application back).   If you chose them, out of the blue, to apply for a credit card, it might take 1 month for them to contact you.

What would you like your credit limit to be?   If you asked for $40,000 they would send you to the guy who approves the "big spenders".

  2. I'm amazed at these questions. Yes it can take 7-10 days for you to get your card. What's the big deal? Just be patient.

  3. That seems about right. It's very quick if you ask me.

  4. Sometimes longer. You may not see it at all. I was told I was approved and it would take 7-10 days to get the card. Only all I got in 10 days was a letter saying they reviewed my credit application once more and decided that I was a risk because I didn't have at least 50,000 in my savings account. They aren't wanting to give credit to anyone these days. I guess they have so much money that they don't need me as a client.

But, it really does take that long. You can get it next day, overnight if you pay $25 to get it shipped that way. Of course, you can only dot hat if you haven't already had it sent.

    Good luck.
