Does it really take that long?

one year to be able to get pregnant? no way...really? awwww i just read in another post that it takes up to a year to get pregnant....ive been having s*x almost everyday (i thought we werent doing enough?) and i still get my period...BUMMER!

It took us four months to get pregnant! Don't worry it will happen when it happens... I hope it happens for you soon!!! Good luck    *baby dust*

I know how you feel.  We have been trying for over a year now.  I had some good tips such as taking my temperature and such.  I will pray for you too.  

Hopefully we will both catch a bit of good luck.

No it doesn't take a year. You just have to wait for to happen. You can conculte a doctor if you want just in case.

Stress of WANTING to get pregnant can hinder the chances of getting pregnant.  Most of us have been there.  Take each day as it happens.  Relax and enjoy life.  If it's meant to be, it will be.

I know someone who tried for years.  When they adopted a baby (tried 14 years), she became pregnant then had 2 daughters of her own.  Another friend started the paperwork went through the classes and adoption interviews they got pregnant. Because they weren't trying so hard anymore and relaxed.

Easier said than done, but true.

You might want to talk to your doctor, I heard it's better not to have s*x every day.  It weakens the "pool", I don't know if it's true but worth finding out.

some girls get pregnant first time when they lose there virginity,  others don't get pregnant for years

maybe your partner has low or zero sperm count, it might be you that has a problem, check with your Doctor

It's not that it will always take that long, it's that if you've tried for a year and still aren't pregnant, you and your partnet should think about seeing a doctor.

For some it does take a year or more to conceive. For some (me included, so far) it takes a lot less than that.

If that is true, why do so many women get pregnant in one night stands? I would check your information source and get real facts.
