Does it require additional fee to add just name to the tenancy agreement

details , my wife renting a flat from letting agency, and now i came from other country to live with her , the letting agency claim that you should pay 50 pounds due to the change of tenancy agreement , is he has right to ask for additional fee????

  1. Yes, they still need to qualify you to live there, back ground check and all.  They also have to draw up a new contract, you can not add anything to an existing contract after it is signed.

  3. Check her original tenancy agreements - it should contain details of admin fees for changing the agreement (and details of what changes would require a new agreement and what changes would not be acceptable).

    I expect the agents have covered their back in the paperwork and you will have to pay if you want the tenancy to be changed to a joint one.
