Yeah Costas is cool, he is indeed making fun of him.  If NBC is like the TNT Inside The NBA they should superimpose Bela Lugosi over Karolyi.

Bela is silly, but Bob Costas is a tool and has the worst analogies ever. He's why I don't want to be a broadcast journalist.

Yes. I think it is kinda funny. Bob is trying hard not to laugh. In Bela's case, I think he isj just a very passionate old man.

I think Costas finds it amusing that Bela is horrified by the judging now, but not so much when his teams were winning the Olympic games in Atlanta.

I think he enjoys Bella's enthusiasm for the sport.  It is rare that anyone sees that kind of emotion anymore!!  In all honesty I think he is trying to help the general population understand what exactly Bella is saying.  The tone inflictions and accent can make him very hard to understand and I think Bob is trying to clarify that.
