You will see the North in China is very cold in winter. It is like Canada in many ways, its hot in summer and very cold in winter, like Ontario is.  China is very big country. It has tropical provinces as well as provinces that are cold in winter.

Yes it does. But, not in all parts it snows .

The north mostly snows every year, the high mountainous regions of center, north-east,tibet  snows very often .

Cities like Beijing , Shanghai,Nanjing gets some snowfall .

yes it does. i visited china many times and had the pleasure of visiting in december. it's kind of bitter cold, but the snow coupled with the look of the great wall of china is extremely majestic and beautiful. it just gives everywhere a dreamy, mystic feel.

yeah, i come from tianjing and it snows there some years, it snows in some places really hard in the northern parts.

Yes it does, I have seen it snow twice in Beijing.

Also earlier this year in March south west parts of China had problems with snowstorms.

Come Oct time parts of North China mostly the TAR area of Inner Mongolia start to prepare for winter as some of the roads are blocked off by snow drifts.

Come the new year time Harbin a city in the north-east part of China holds the annual ice-festival there there are many life sized buildings made from ice.
