  1. Oh it does snow soooo much.. It is beautiful , so christmasy, the little kiddies love to play and have fun it is delightful to watch. But if you go there, wrap up warm my dear as you do not want to get a nasty chill do you?

I hope this answer has been helpful to you.

  2. It is snowing today!

And we all hope for a white Christmas!

Last year we had lots and lots of snow (though I don't remember if there was snow specifically on Christmas).

  3. Of all big German cities Munich has the biggest chance for having White Christmas. I only found that article (from 2003 - see link) in German, but here you have the translation of the first two sentences of the second pragraph:

"In comparison to other cities, the probability for having White Christmas are highest in Munich: Here we have snow over the holiday season statistically every three years."

We have always snow in winter, but usually the snow cover doesn't become stable before January. December is still a comparatively mild month with low precipitation. In the last twenty years there was a clear tendency towards "Green Christmas", as you call it in German. Winter is getting milder (even despite the fact there was a snow catastrophy last year when a blizzard passed Germany and left Munich with a snow mantle of nearly 60cm after just 12h of snow fall!), this year's autumn was the mildest in history and winter seems to follow.

Nevertheless, today they had a little bit of snow, but nothing spectacular. As far as I remember I think I read somewhere that this year's chance is around 60% but that number can change very quickly (sorry I have no source to cite). Write me an email ten days before christmas and I'd be happy to look it up for you in the German media (I don't live there any more at the moment...)!

  4. none

  5. No white christmases, but lots of snow before and after.

  6. Not this year I hope!

  7. Almost all of Germany enjoyed a white Christmas last year (2005). I was in both Munich and Hamburg for it.

  8. no idea how many times in the last 10 years but i used to live in Dusselforf for a few years and boy does it snow in winter!

Munchen gets better snow than Dusseldorf

  9. Munich is beautiful when it's red roofs are covered with snow. take in the christkindlmarket in the town square.they serve hot wine and all kinds of other goodies there, like lebkuchenhearts or an old  cuisine original "a brezen" made with a special brine.have lots of fun, and marry Xmas
