Question:

Does it snow in Puerto Rico?

I would assume not, because it is a tropic region.

I do know that they import snow for people to play in.

But I am working on a project and I need to know for sure. Has there ever been a freakish snow fall? And if so do you by chance have a web link that talks about/documents it?

Thanks in advance for your help. =)

  1. It sure doesn't snows there, but I'm sure there are machines to create artificial snow for a winter wonderland.

  2. No, Puerto Rico is a tropical island in the Caribbean and our temperature goes from 70's through high 90's.  We have a lot of rain during the year but never snow.

  3. Nope.  It is around 85 all year long. They dont make ay snow b/c it would melt too fast b/c its always warm. There is an indoor iceskating rink though.

  4. Snow here?  No.

Import?  That was done once by a former Major of San Juan many years ago.  She wanted to show kids who did not had the opportunity to see snow what snow was.  Never heard of another import odf snow to PR.

freakish snow fall? No, I do not remember that happening here.  I think our lowest temperature record, up at the mountains was like 43 degrees.  Not enough cold for snowing.

  5. It surely don't in San Juan. It might up in the mountains, but I would doubt it.
