We are planning a trip to Colorado in mid September. I'm trying to find out what to expect. We will go to South Fork, Creede, Wolf Creek Pass, Lake City and other places. If you can help me out with what to expect weather wise, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

  1. It certainly CAN.. but that doesn't mean it will.  Wolf Creek Pass is about 11,000 feet and the snow line in late September can come down to 7500 feet.  AND..  you DON'T want to drive that pass if the road is slick... BELIEVE ME on that one... that road takes a double jointed snake to come down off the summit to town in good weather and during really bad weather they have to close it because there are a lot of turns that don't have guard rails.
