This is fabulous she supported the tax increase on oil companies as punishment for committing fraud, I have no problem with this, she is one great Governor with 80% approval and will make a great VP and one day our first female President.

Taxes have absolutely nothing to do with his decision. He chose her to try and steal away the working class female voters that were originally voting for Hillary. But they're closet republicans and closet racists anyway, so I say let em go. It's a political sham and I wouldn't vote for someone like Palin who so readily accepts her job as a political pawn.

I thought McCain was referring to income taxes that citizens pay.  That link talks about taxing oil companies, essentially.

She raised taxes on oil, a big baddy to you Dems. She removed the gas tax on all Alaska fuel for one year and gave each citizen $1200 in a fuel rebate. Try again.

State taxes and federal taxes are two, separate things.  Alaska shouldn't need any taxes.  They should get enough from State royalties to run the state.
