Why does it surprise my friends and my family? I mean, there are tons of people with degrees. I only graduated from a low-ranked university and with bad grades. Do you know how competitive those high paying positions are?

I really think this minimum wage job is the best I can do. I mean, I even like my job, it is easy and not stressful. I bet those high paying jobs, you have to bust your brains out everyday and are very stressful. So what do you guys think?

  1. It surprises me that you don't have more respect for yourself. Are you really happy, say, running register at a grocery store or cleaning the bathrooms at the mall when you could be making probably twice as much money with just a little bit of effort?

I'll tell you a secret. You already have the hard part over with: you went to college and graduated! Many people don't even get that far, so why would you waste your degree working a job with people that probably didn't even graduate from high school?

Come on, you are better then your minimum wage job. The sooner you realize that, the better.

  2. If you can live on what you make (and not with your parents) and you're happy.  Don't sweat what other people think.

  3. yes it is surprising. if you put some effort into it you should be making well above minimum wage. there are plenty of jobs that will give you an easy in just for having a degree.
