Does it take a lot of time to learn skateboarding?(not anything professional)?

I can't even ride a bike(don't laugh xD),but the last time my friend tried to teach me was 4years ago,so I probably can do it by now =P

Anyways is skating(not on ramps or anything)hard to learn?On average how much time does it take to learn to "ride"it?

it all depends if their person is a fast learner or not, for a very slow learner it will take them a long time to learn it
