Does it take more energy to create a hybrid car than is saved? I have heard that the energy it takes to manufacture the batteries and ship them from the places of assembly is more than the energy saved. I would be driving about 65 miles a day and want to know if I would be helping or hurting the environment with a Honda Fit Hybrid which comes out in 2009.What I really want is a Jeta diesel but I do not have 23-24 thousand dollars. Thanks

  1. You hear all differant sides of this "energy used vrs saved" argument . WHo's to say which is accurate. If the vehicle fits for you then that is all that matters.

Dont put too much faith in what you read. It can all be skewed.

Bio fuels are evil....ethenol makes corn expensive... but then the other side say its a by product of creating this or that and thus is free....

Just do what you feel comfortable with

  2. Um, why don't you study some Newtonian physics, genius.
