Does it use a lot of your monthly gigabytes to listen to radio online?

I know that everything on the internet uses gigabytes, but does it use much extra to listen online?

  1. your PC's processor runs at gigahertz, unless you have a dinosaur, then it will run a slower processor at megahertz.

    The faster your processor, the more you can do at a single time (multi-tasking) but, the more you do at once, the slower you will run.

    I used to run streaming radio, and instant messenger from yahoo at the same time, while running weatherbug for constant weather updates, and i never had a problem on my old Pentium III.

    But then, I wasn't downloading movies either.


  2. Yes , it's all bandwith . Internet radio sends bits which your PC converts into sound

    As an example a couple of years back this ground a hospital network I was working on to a snails pace
