u believe it or not, a mere one year post grad study in USC means sucking 55000 bucks out. if usa is a 'country of immigrants' and 'land of oppotunity', then how the h**l asian people manage it?

again, if i stick on, suppose steal or rob or suppose found the money fallen from the sky, does it really worth studying there? i mean does it worth spending such bulk? i want to study communication management in annenberg school of communication.

pls say something to this poor fellow.

  1. Some people don't even go to college and get great jobs, high-paying. We're all different. USC will promote success, but not guarantee it. It's a personal choice to go to college, especially a private one. Who knows what a person will learn or retain in the end to make use of.

I don't understand the referencing of "country of immigrants" and "land of opportunity" to Asian people. You might want to rethink what the phrase means.

  2. did they really ask you 55000$.

  3. Being an international student in any university is an expensive experience. Even as an American studying abroad, I've spent over $55,000 for a one year postgraduate degree in Britain (though that included all living expenses and tuition fees). The reason universities charge so much more to international students is that home students' tuition and fees are subsidised by the government.

Keep in mind, USC is a private university and thus depends fully on student tuition and donations to continue running. Also, Los Angeles is a very expensive city to live in. There are many good universities in the United States that will be less expensive (but not inexpensive for an international student) but may offer more scholarship opportunities. Look into other options as they could provide you with the same opportunities for employment, while costing less.
