I am thinking to study abroad for master degree. My work experience is in Accounting/Finance/Audit. Is it worth to spend my time and money for master degree considering I have to quit my current job? Can the degree do good for your career?

  1. If you have a good job right now you should keep it, look for a local university where you can get your master without leaving your job, my experience is in legal, the fact is that I quit my job to study, then I got a job and I earn less than what I was earning before my master.

So, that is my advice, it is opt to you.

  2. The general answer is "it depends." In your specific case, I do think it is worth it to get a master's degree in, say, accounting or finance. But I seriously recommend you consider an "executive program" (which gives you night classes so you can still work) and/or one in which you can pace yourself. That way you can still work in your industry/profession of choice while studying. Many companies will help pay for your tuition as well, which is an added incentive to work and study. But be prepared for 1-2 years of a bit of work, which with good time management you can solve.

And yes, after getting the degree, you 1) add to your job stability and 2) increase your chances of moving up to another income bracket.

  3. Yes it would expand your career options and business opportunities I think it would be worth it.

  4. My dear.. get that masters degree while time is still on your side. studying abroad is always a great experience especially at a reputable institution.

First degrees are becoming very common and only help set one up in a good company but for accelerated growth get the master's degree to back up your experiences.

You can always ask your company to partly fund the expenses if you intend to continue working for them once you are done with the degree. It's a mutually beneficial agreement and I'm sure they would be happy to help out as they would benefit from the expertise you would bring on board on your return.

You can also look into the option of working part-time whether home or abroad. It provides more experience and you still get something to take home at the end of the month.

  5. Only for an MBA in London. As for the rest, there are no excellent courses.

  6. Well the majority of the perplexes that adutit this server will noe feel the true self.

  7. I'd do it for the experience studying abroad, if going abroad is something that appeals to you! "Do what you love, the money will follow" as they say. An extra degree wouldn't hurt you!!

  8. Yes and no - Get the masters but get it locally. You will earn a huge amount more if you have it but it has to be from a respected CPA school.

  9. I think you need a course in English first.
