My track and field season is over but I want to get a jump on next year (no pun intended!). Will it help my stamina? (I'm a middle distance runner/sprinter, 400, 800, occasionally 200).

  1. no. but it does build up your leg muscle. you should also run.

  2. it can help alot. it will build enduracne stamina and muscle, all very important in the races you run(and in any foot race) set time goals starting with ten minutes, and adding a minute every time. i suggest jumping every other day, to give your body well needed rest time. but dont forget to run a little too. but yeah that is a great workout to get ready for track

  3. Nope only running will .

  4. yes, because you use you're leg mucsles on running and climbing ropes.so if you want to run faster i would perfor rope-climbing

  5. dont stop training; keep building ,keep in shape

  6. it will definitely help you!

  7. Any cardio exercises will help build stamina.

Jumping rope is great exorcise for your heart, and most muscle groups, but you will need to mix it up with

    stretches and some sprinting.

Jumping rope will tend to 'bulk' up your leg muscles...not great for sprinters.
