  1. No, all meat slaughtered for either Kosher or Halal purposes must be done by a certified person from the religion and all must be done humanely and electrocution is not humane, both have to be bled of all bodily fluids, kosher meat is salted to remove the most possible, halal and haram products have to made in like kosher product a certified production facility.

Halal meat is from the whole animal and kosher is only up to the 4 rib not further in beef, poultry is fine and lamb nothing with a cloven hoof and it must chew its cud, they have similar rule for fish and seafood (no shellfish), it must have scales and have gills, dairy issues differ a bit, but veg, eggs, dairy and other items are considered pareve or haram, but in Kosher cuisine mixing dairy and meat if forbidden (they also have 2 sets of dishes for the 2 foods). Alot is available on the internet for a better more detailed explaination. I was a chef, and worked in a operation with a kosher kitchen, and have had Muslim friend and learned all possible for there comfort.
