  1. Yes most defiantly

  2. Is the noon sky blue? Yes it hurts! Our bodies can handle the pain it takes to deliver a baby if we are alllowed to do it naturally. But if they decide pictocinis needed they better have and epidural nearby!

Out bodies release endorphines (feel good horomones) when we are in pain to help us cope. This is a slow process like birth is slow. The more pain the more endorphines are released. Pictocin speeds things up and makes you have contractions your body isn't ready for yet so the pain is much more intense. You may be 4 cm when you get it but the contractions are equal to 8 cm. If and when you do become pregnant try to avoid the pictocin and if you do need it make sure they bring the epidural! Your going to want it! I had my epidural almost 2 hours after they started the pictocin and was crying I was in such pain.

  3. yes it does!  I threw up it hurt so bad.  go for the drugs :)  I agree with the other mom who said how much worse it is if they give you inducing drugs (pitocin-sp?)  I had one with pitocin and one without.  The labor with no inducing drugs was much easier to deal with.  Good luck!

  4. Labor definately hurts, but once the baby is born your forget most of the pain. You are just so happy to hold your newborn the pain no longer matters!!

(p.s. what does 'can you ask for women only to get labour' mean?)

  5. lol that first answer gives me a great feeling!!

It does hurt. You can choose if you want certain types of painkillers, etc. You get to learn all about this stuff through classes and literature the hospital gives you.

As for a home birth, this is the sort of thing you'll discuss with your doctor. Not everyone can have a home birth and there are risks involved.

  6. Yes For Sure , when i go for labouring , it was really hurt me , when it is around 9cm , they broke ur water , u will feel very very very super pain for quite a long time , Try It and u will believe

  7. yes it hurts really bad

  8. I had a home birth!

If you are low risk[which most women are] you have the chance at a wonderful birth experience!

Labor hurts but it depends on the environment, whether you can relax enough, and if you listen to your body and birth in the position you feel best in.

You said you aren't pregnant but most home births go like this..

You labor where you want, how you want.

Birth how you want, [example a squat position] Alot of women labor/give birth in a bath tub.

Usually you touch baby first, or your husband.

Often times there is delayed cord cutting till the placenta is birthed.

Baby is able to immediately initiate nursing.

Since most home births are relaxed, and even if you need stitches for tearing.

Usually you are up showered, eating and bed later in the day.

  9. Pain is bearable and its nothing our bodies aren't designed to do in the first place. The pay off is also well worth it, and if you are emotionally ready for a child, the pain is the least of your worries.

  10. Yes.  It hurts quite a bit.

  11. A friend of mine is a medical doctor and quotes research which demonstrates that on the pain scan having a baby without full on drugs is the same as having your leg cut off with a saw without any drugs.

Then there is the physical, life long damage the birth can do to you - and of course then comes the life long financial pain.

But, don't let that put you off.

  12. It sure does!! But you forget really soon after and it's bearable because you know it is shortlived amd for a very good reason. Homebirth is birthing naturally without unnecessary medical interventions and being able to labour where and how you lke.
