  1. I would say yes, because Latitude gives you an indication as to climate.

The closer to the equator you are the hotter the climate while the closer to the poles the colder the climate.

  2. Latitude can tell you how far north or south of the equator the place is, while longitude will tell you how far east or west of Greenwich, England the place is.

    So I would say no.

  3. I guess it depends on what you want to know. Paul is right

"Latitude can tell you how far north or south of the equator the place is, while longitude will tell you how far east or west of Greenwich, England the place is."

I'd lean toward yes, because latitude can give you an educated guess of what the climate is like if it's close to the equator it's not going to be snowing all the time. and if it's june and it's far south of the equator you'll know it's winter there.

However longitude will tell you what time it is there.

So if you need exact temporary information i'd say longitude is better if you want rought permanate information I'd says latitude.
