The Nikon D200 (2006) model, is usually priced body only.  The typical lens for the camera is a Nikon (Nikkor) 18-200 VR lens or if you require fast aperture such as 2.8, then 17-55 Nikkor.

The Nikon D300 is the current model introduced in the fall of 2007 at approx $1800 USD.  With the 18-200 VR lens it sells $2249 USD.

Most all Nikon lenses (made by Nikon) are useful on these bodies.  Low price would be the 18-135 at around $300 USD with either body.

I do not recommend that you purchase over the Internet or through a magazine warehouse.  Please purchase local and in store for proper service and customer relations.

The D200, like the D300 that sicceeded it, is aimed at semi-pro and pro market, and photographers in this range usually prefer to choose their own lens and often onee of the faster pro lenses.  That is what I did.  

It is possible to find the D200 and D300 with lens kits, but the VR 18-200 lens should be the minimum lens in the kit.

With cameras of this standard, it is worth noting that lens choice is just as vital as the body itself.  

I had a D200, and currently am using a D300 and a D3.  I chose my lenses separately: no kit had what I wanted.

It would obviously say. If the camera came with a lens/lenses, it would say on the title, it would say something like:

" Nikon d200 with 18-55mm dx lens ", if it doesn't have a lens in its name it obviously doens't come with a lens. Usually, you save alot of money when you buy a kit, they reduce the price of the lens when you get it with the camera. The average difference of a kit and buying lenses separately is about 75$
