Does licorice contain caffeine?

Never heard of this but a friend insists licorice candy contains caffeine. My own internet search didn't show anything to support this.

Not as a standard ingredient.  The flavoring of licorice is anise.

Not that I know of . Its sugar, corn syrup, hydrogenated oil, artificial flavorings and coloring.

no. it doesn't unless you add it after it is made.

Which licrice is she refering too?  It might be a certain kind or brand... not all of them do.  Some of the authentic hard german licorice might.  You might have to go look at an actuall licorice pacage for an answer.
