I don't know if the chicken or the egg came first, but I had a boyfriend once who was always trying to live life like the pictures in Easy Rider.  Also,  what is it with guys trying to imitate  porno?  Quit watching it if your gonna be a weirdo in real life.  Now that's life trying to imitate art.

Neither. Art comes into the world and joins life. Life enters the artist and fuses with art. In the end art and life are not separate entities.

Without life there would be no form of art ...as life in itself is art! So both is the answer however life needs to come 1st...obivious reasons!! x
