  1. No, lightning will always follow the easiest path to ground. This means that it is attracted to the closet object of greatest conductivity. Color is irrelevant.

Yes.  Lightning sees red objects and gets angry.  You see, red reminds him of his mother's lipstick, which would leave a big fat mark on his forehead every morning when she kissed Lightning good-bye before school.  All of the kids would laugh and tease-- o! would they tease.  And now, when Lightning sees anything red, it reminds him of these oh so painful memories.
