  1. It can but its just as likely to hit another spot, i really depends on how tall the object is for its likeliness to be struck

  2. Certainly.  In fact lightening rods are designed to make lightening hit the rod rather than nearby objects.  Lightening rods on tall buildings may be hit many times.

  3. It all depends . Some places are more likely to be hit than others , depending on the conductivity of the said medium . Most "exact " locations aren't very likely to be struck twice but some are . For instance , the Empire State Building is struck many times per year .

  4. Yes.  I sat drinking coffee in a cafe and watched lightning hit a tall building's tall steel tower over and over for 20 minutes.  Of all the old sayings that on is right up there with nice girls don't.

  5. duh of course

  6. Everyone says "The lightning can't strike twice in the same place" but they were wrong lighting can hit twice because of lightning rods

  7. I can but by that you mean an area of maybe a foot or less because it is hard to tell exactly the spot where the lightning hit.

  8. Yes it does it hits more than 2 times in fact. lol
