  1. You should probably be careful what you download.  You can download a harmful virus.

  2. Limewire itself doesn't  but the files you download on it can be. If you have a good anti-virus you should be ok. You have to be careful though.  Make sure that after you download songs you run a virus scan and your computer will be fine.

  3. Limewire will harm and damage your computer when you download a lot of fake files. Fake files are files, pretending to be a song or movie, but are in fact viruses.

When all limewire users would start using there common sense, there would not be that much critic on programs like limewire.

Limewire users infect there pc and mess it up and not Limewire. When you do a search for a song of movie, you always see a lot of those small files. Those small files are much too small to be a song or movie. It is therefore very likely that those small files are the fake files.

When you start downloading files higher than 2500/3000kb and leave the small files alone. the risk of getting infected is not too big.

Nothing however is completely safe, therefore mak sure your anti viurs is up to date, just in case

Here you can limewire pro for free

  4. Unfortunately Lime wire can not only slow down your computer but send viruses through the music you download. It Crashed my computer permanently and I was Silly enough to use it on my laptop to and the same thing happened. I would not recommend it. Instead search Youtube for the songs you want like this : Girls just wanna have fun with download and they will give you links. Any More queries don't hesitate to message me. :)

  5. Yes if you do not understand file formats. It is still very dangerous and can harm your pc badly!

    If it's a:

    - music file; make sure it ends in .mp3, .wav, .aac, .mp4, m4a or .mmf

you can find more here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audio_file_...

    - video file; make sure it ends in .avi, .mpeg, .mp4, .iff, .aiff, .riff, .3gp, .mov or .wmv

you can find more here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_file_...

Avoid these file types at any cost (they are usually viruses): .bat, .vir, .zip, .exc etc.

    Hope this helps.

    Dan

  6. What you download from limewire can damage your computer, as what you download from it can cantain virus and spyware without your knowledge.

  7. what ever you download there can be adware and spyware that come with it that you wont know about.  e.g a simple audio file such as a ring tone or a song.  Then you will be getting pop ups for ages from advertisers.

More dangerous files are the executional files but if you have a good anti virus program then your computer will tell you, same goes if you get a trojan horse.

Most of the files on lime wire are ok but make sure you have good up to date protection for your computer.

  8. yes it can but if you have a good anti virus then no

  9. Sometimes if you download dodgy songs, then it can bring viruses onto your computer

  10. YOU ******* ##### DON'T YOU KNOW THAT LIMEWIRE IS THE LEADING CAUSE OF MICROSOFT DOING SO WELL WITH SELLING AN OS? YOU DOWNLOAD A VIRUS AND THEN GO TO BESTBUY TO BUY A COPY OF WINDOWS. DON'T SUPPORT WINDOWS. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!?!!??!

  11. if you are going to use limewire and are really worried about viruses...scan all the files you download each time

yes it can mess up your computer so if you are going to use it, make sure youre smart about it

(hint: there are ways to get songs off myspace and imeem and all those other sites. I wont disclose them here but do a lil homework and it will pay off)

  12. Yeah, we had an anti virus on my comp and none picked it up and I got a massive virus that involved throwing my computer out.

    NO JOKE.

  13. I have used Lime-wire for years no problems, Stick to audio and video files and should be fine. Steer clear of any executable files (.EXE) on the programs section.

  14. Yes it will damage your computer because not only will the files you are downloading contain Trojans & tacking tools but also it opens up a port so anyone can put anything into that download i.e a virus.  Also it is ilegal.

  15. The program itself will not damage your computer, but downloads are only coming from another user's computer, so if they have a virus, you have a good chance of getting it also. Some users also rename and edit files, so you may not get what you are hoping to.

If you use the program use great caution in what you download, and watch files sizes, to be somewhat compatible with what you are downloading.

To Stacey -x, never have more than one anti virus program installed on your computer, they conflict, thus basically you have no anti virus at all.
