Does linoleum have anything in it that is harmful to hamsters?

Yeah, of course, I will still put bedding in there, I just needed something to cover the base of the cage as I'm building a cage out of storage cubes.

    no!

    i am building my own cage and the floors are linoleum!

    but......... you still need to provid some bedding stuff for them to build nests with and what not or even some paper

    all in all it will work it is a cheap way to go also cause its a one time buy unlike bedding and its easier to clean!


  2. 'True' Linoleum is toxic for them to chew. It is petroleum and linseed based...both toxic

    However, most of that type of kitchen floor covering is not real linoleum anymore..so just read what it says on the label. Most of them are vinyl.



    Just thought you would want to know that Chiguagua is the proper spelling in Spanish, and is the original name of the breed.
