  1. depends on the type.

Beer and Wine can go bad.

Milk/Cream based liquors like Bailey's can also go bad.

Most of the other liquors will not ever expire.

  2. i'm sure it can but i've seen some last for atleast 8 yrs....or was that wine??

  3. Beer yes, after a while if canned or bottled it lasts months

Wine goes sour if kept too long ie. years.

Spirits keeps years, I'm not sure if it ever  goes off...

  4. No. alcohol is self-fermenting and a self-preserver. ever heard of newly discovered wine that was 100 years old? as long as the bottle and cork are intact and sealed, the contents should be perfect.

HOWEVER, that being said there are cream based liquors that will expire. Irish whiskey creams, rum creams and tequila creams are the most common. These should be kept cold and the shelf life is only about three to six months.

Remember the chemical composition of anything can be changed when heat is applied, so any liquor that appears different than it normally does should be treated with care. Its better to be safe than sorry.

  5. Drinks with a very high alcohol content can't go "bad" because microorganisms cannot survive in that environment.

Alcohol can evaporate from the bottle if it is not tightly closed.

    Which is always a shame.

  6. Yes.  At a friend's house he offered me some Glenlivet scotch that he had had for about 10 years.  I drank a sip neat and there was no more alcohol in it.
