Does listening to mozart or beethoven actually help you study?

  1. That myth has been busted. It would help me because I like Mozart. If you don't like it, it wouldn't do a thing to help.


  2. It only helps you study if you can listen to it again while you are taking the test.

    It has been shown that whatever mode you study in that is the mode that should happen during the test for you to do best.

    Therefore, if your teacher lets you listen to I-Pods during your tests, I would make a play list of classical music.  Then I would study while listening to it and then play it during the test.  If your teacher does not allow music then I would study when it is silent so that you will do better on the test.

    Most teachers do not allow headphones during tests because students have started using them to cheat.
