Does long distance cost anything when they call you?

it costs money on my house phone to call long distnace, but how about when they call me?

    Well, depends if you have a national long distance plan that allows you free long distance calling.

  3. No, you only get charged when you call long distance.

  4. not at all...Only the person that do the calls pays for the call.

    That is only on landlines, but on cellphone, depends on your carrier.

  5. Nope, as long as it's a landline. If THEY call you then THEY have to pay long distance, unless they are calling you collect.

  6. If your call comes in through a land line  - non cellular - there is no charge if they dialed you direct.  The charges can be reversed - but you need to agree to that with an operator ahead of time.  

    If you receive a long distance call on a cellular phone - you will pay for the air time ( dependiing on contract) but not the LD charges - associated with the call.

  7. they pay unless they call collect but then you have to agree to accept the call and you can refuse
