"Snarl Ball Lion Cub"

Calm down,

I won't hurt you.

Touch my hand.

See?

No poison.

Can you scent

fearlessness?

I know

the predator

lies in you,

avenging lioness,

hunter,

protectress.

Are you

protecting me

or yourself?

Sharp pain,

needle teeth

sink in my skin.

Ah,

there you are,

not hiding anymore.

Is my blood sweet?

Why is there

fear

in your eyes?

Did you actually think

I would run?

  1. It sounds like your talking about a vampire.

Love to me, is like this poem. Yes, I fear it. The heart is delicate and if you give it to a beast, they`ll shed it to pieces with no remorse.

  2. Wow,thats a very interesting and unique poem. I like it. Its very creative with also a deeper meaning behind it all. For me,its sayin u can love someone so much that even if hey hurt you,you wont run away. Love overcomes fear and pain.

  5. As far as reading well, I stumbled a bit on "actually," which seventeen states have banned for use in poetry. As far as the style, it is superb, which is normal for you. As far as the message.....

......A professional gambler rides into town and immediately heads for the casino and starts placing bets at the roulette wheel. A colleague spots him and quietly asks him, "Sam, don't you know this wheel is crooked?" Sam replies, "Yup, but it's the only wheel in town."
