  1. no :)

  2. No. No one has been able to prove that luck works, that anything other than random chance is at work in any game of chance like dice or flipping coins. Games like poker contain an element of strategy in addition to chance, but still, no such thing as luck to influence the outcome.

  3. NO

  4. everyting

  5. Yes.

  6. yes, usually manifesting in three ways:

    1. you achieve a particular result that has a low probability that allows you to win, e.g. flopping 4 aces in poker.

    2. Avoiding some bad event that would cause you to lose, e.g. while holding the 4 aces, you sneeze and accidentally blow your cards into the community cards, mucking the hand.

    3. not having your opponents hit a low probability event that would cause you to lose, e.g. they draw out a straight flush to beat your 4 aces.

In nearly every single possible type of competition, you need all three of the above events, most of which are beyond your control, to occur. Luck is not only about getting a winning situation, but avoiding losing ones.

  7. well theres no other reason for it.

  8. IF YOU HAVE GOOD LUCK AT THINGS THEN YES

  9. Greatest compliment a gambler can receive is "You sure are lucky" which really means "You sure are good."

However, luck has very little to do with some gambling and everything to do with others.  Luck is the random factor, of which the lottery is probably the purest form.  Those who understand odds understand that, in the long run, luck does not exist.

  10. Depends what you're playing. If its poker then yes luck does help you win, if it's skill games like at http://www.dukesbox.com then its all skill and no luck that makes you win

  11. Nop... you need to know what ya doing

  12. About as much as superstition has to do with winning. In short, no it doesn't. It's all mathematically in favor of the house every time. All you can do is choose games where the house edge is lowest and "good luck"! No offense.

  13. Luck certainly has a lot to do with winning!

I have found over the years that when it comes to gambling and winning on games like Blackjack and Poker, that the more I learn and study about the games, the more facts, statisitics and information I get, and the more I practice and gain experience, the luckier I get!
