Does luminous intensity of light increase when light is reflected many times?

  1. u can look at as density of light that is "emitted". So when light if reflected many times, the luminous intensity doesn't change. But if more photons are coming off a material. Then an increase in intensity will result.


  2. How could it?

    That would be a neat way of creating energy!

    Unless the light is being reflected through a gain medium (like a laser cavity), you can only lose energy by reflection.

    Intensity could be increased if the reflector was curved, however reflecting many times would end up defocusing again.
