Yes!

Magic is the ability to make the impossible seem possible.

When you see a magic trick you actually are seeing parts of the total truth.

It's like stop motion films.

King Kong is a good example.When you see Kong moving around climbing buildings and all such as that,they don't show the hours of manipulation of a small clay statue that is done to create the affect.

Same thing with a magic trick.You don't see the secret compartments or where the rabbit is hidden in the suit.

Yes. The ability to perform magick is as real as the "power of prayer" which is magick by different name. Magick can be defined as using your Will to make changes by sheer belief and/or the use of ritual items i.e., herbs, candles, colors, etc. It sometimes but not always involve an invited intervention of a supreme deity or other spirit to assist the magician.

This is no different than the power of prayer used in Christianity. Christians will light candles, invoke their deity (Jesus, God, Mary, St.Joseph) to intervene in their life, and bring their prayers to manifestation. They may light incense as well and then pray a special prayer, either from the heart, or one that has been said for hundreds of years. The prayer is intended to be the vehicle to which their desire will manifest in their life.

Witches do the same. They light candles and incense. Invoke the name of the deity to intervene in the situation. Say a special prayer (Spell) that either was created by them (from the heart) or one that has been passed down for hundreds of years. Once again, the Spell is meant to be the vehicle to which their desire manifest in their life.

With both, faith in one's deity, and self as well as faith in the power of words is used to bring about what they need.

I wonder how some people can believe in one, but NOT THE OTHER, when they are the EXACT same method, one is just called a Spell and the other a Prayer. Hmmmm........remember minds are like parachutes, they only work when they are open.

There are many things that do appear as magic.  A few people have skills that seem at least un-worldly. These and many other things will be explained as something else as ... mere magic and the next few years.

What I've been taught in my anthro classes is that if a certain culture believes in magical rituals, then it is real for them.  When a person puts faith behind a certain belief, it is absolutely real to them.  Does that make it scientifically real?  Probably not, but when you're talking about magic, science kind of gets pushed to the side.  By the way, when I say magic I mean the influencing of events, objects, people, and physical phenomena by mystical, paranormal, or supernatural means, not the Houdini kind.
