Does mapquest always give you the shortest route possible to get somewhere?

Generally yes, but it's not perfect so sometimes there are shorter back roads that it does not have in its system.

i have been using map quest for about 2 years now and they have always giving me the fastest and easiest way to get there :D

no....in my area sometimes it give dirt roads to drive on that take longer...they look shorter but are not..

Not always. Sometimes "quicker" is longer mile-wise but takes less time.
