  1. I know what you mean about the after effects of xanax.  I think the marijuana would help if you only used it when needed and lightly. But I agree with the first guy, don't replace one thing with another.....

  2. yes, it will help.xanax can be a hard drug to get off of .good luck.u will feel bad for a few days but u will start feeling better. i just happen to know.

  3. Ideally you do not want to do that.  But if you are sure you will be able to stop the pot then go for it.  just make sure you are not replacing one thing for another.  Only use the pot as long as you need it.  It works on different receptor sites than Xanax but it could relax you and make you feel better as your nervous system gets used to not having Xanax.

  4. Yes in a way it does. Your brain is in withdrawal. Marijuana does help, but do not smoke more then twice a week while in withdrawal. Your brain is recovering and learning how to cope with stress without the xanax. If you smoke it will help, however if you smoke to much. Your brain will start to rely on weed as a new "safer" way to cope with your stress. And yet again you will go threw the same syntoms you were before but worse.
