  1. no he dont john higgins was the best player threw out the tournament how many times was he on a 147 break and unlucky he got a kick deserves to be champion and world no1

  2. I was really chuffed for mark but also a bit gutted that he didn't win..  I really like him and he seems a really genuine nice bloke.  he also looks a lot like my brother which is good..

He will come back from this and beat them all next year...

  3. if you thought that this morning then you and I should have had a bet 100 to 1 the bookies were offering on him winning.

  4. I think that Selby has done really well but Higgins is currently getting himself together in the interval and will win.

  5. young selby is amazing but higgins is not beat yet! he is the complete player who will gather himself during the break as the winning post gets closer the nerves will tell in young selby but i see this lad as a star in the future

  6. He was the true champion in my eyes, he beat Ebdon, Murphy and Lee, 3 tedious players!

  7. Who`s Mark Selby?

  8. what an afternoon of snooker!

anyone who comes back like that deserves to win it in my book!

selby must of been gutted that they couldnt play all 8 games- could be an important factor.

    role on 8pm!

  9. 'Deserve' and 'destined' are expectations on part of question source and if those are the only strength of Mark Selby then 'his clock is about to be cleaned', as an old saying goes.

Answer could care less about the sport but truth is relevant.

  10. No he just had a lucky afternoon.  John Higgins will beat him in the final session.  Final score 18-15 to Higgins

  11. not this time $50 on Higgens

  12. We're going to see soon enough!

Selby is on fire at the moment, but that fire may not last... Higgens is going to do his best to put it out, I'm sure... he has the advantage of experience, of course, but he really can pull himself together... Maguire was punishing him quite a bit in the semi-final, but he dug in, and when things were hard for both players psychologically, he pulled it together, did the business, and Maguire, despite his show of strength earlier, was proved the weaker of the two.

On the other hand, Selby seems to love coming back into match from behind... and he's going to be pretty enthusiastic, having won all those frames this afternoon... he's not scared of Higgen's, he's beaten him before...

Put it this way- I want Selby to win, he's played wonderfully to get back into the match the way he has, and if he keeps it up, even if Higgens fights back seriously, he's got a damned good chance. On the other hand, he could lose his touch if Higgens puts enough pressure on him... I'm not calling it destiny, I reckon it's about even stevens. Well, I'm gonna brew tea, sit back, see what happens.... at the moment it's 13-25, Higgens on the table, who can say what'll happen next?

    Oo! 14-25!
