I've heard that endorphins released during orgasms relieve pain.

Is this true?

  1. Well, yes; in part because it distracts you from the pain, and in part because of the endorphins. However, it's only a temporary thing -- you'd wear yourself out trying to use this method for pain relief.

  2. Yes. Orgasms relieve pain because of the endorphins released.  Endorphins consist of any of a group of peptide hormones that bind to opiate receptors and are found mainly in the brain. Endorphins reduce the sensation of pain and affect emotions. Orgasms release endorphins.

  3. oooooooooooh how I wish this was true...but It can MOMENTAIRLY relieve pain. Not long term.

  4. yes-mostly after the big O

  5. yes this is true. the endorphins are stronger than anything else that could be prescribed by a doctor. although if its joint pain you may want to get to the root cause

  6. I have read that eating hot peppers releases endorphins too. I`ll bet eating hot peppers and not rincing off your hands before masterbating would make you forget about a lot of other pains, and release a few extra endorphins too.

  7. Never heard of that!

  8. i dont no and i never heard of that
