yes the people who build roller coasters are engineers and they require math to do this job.. if an angle was wrong or degrees were off that could mean big problems for the roller coaster.

Everything has to do with math, so yes math has something to do with roller coasters.  Or vice versa.

How do you think they figure out how the curves should go to get maximum excitement and still keep the customers alive?

Its all about equations. Like the velocity of the ride will equal the intensity of the forces applied to the rider, cart and tracks etc. There's a whole bunch of stuff like that applied when designing each rollercoaster.
